LD Resources site transition PDF Print E-mail

The LD Resources web site has been providing information for people with learning disabilities and people who work with people with learning disabilities since 1995. It started as a place for Richard Wanderman (me) to share handouts with people in digital form and since then has grown to include numerous of articles by me and other authors on

all aspects of learning disabilities. The site now contains lists of tools, schools, organizations and professionals and other resources for the LD community.

I built the initial site and in 2004 my friend David Clark helped me move it into a more modern content management system: WordPress where it has remained since then, hosted on David’s server.

Because I no longer work in the learning disabilities world I’ve been looking for the right way to transition out of running this site. My friend and colleague Sanford Shapiro has been helping me run this site for many years now and proposed that he take over hosting and running of the site. This was music to my ears; I can’t think of a person better suited to do this: Sanford knows the site, knows the LD community, and has the expertise to both guide users of the site to useful resources and answer their questions.

This transition will take place in the next few weeks, please excuse any hiccups in service during that time. We will close comments during the time the actual site transfer is going on but once they open again things should work as the did before.

If you have questions about this please comment on this post.

You can continue to find me (Richard) at my blog: www.richardsnotes.org.

Thanks,

Richard Wanderman
